On August 8, 163 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest Axes were Pokrovsk (45 clashes), Novopavlivsk (26) and Lyman (24).
This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched two missile and 74 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using three missiles and dropping 122 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy attracted 5,089 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out 6,361 shelling of positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.
On August 8, 163 combat clashes with russian occupiers were recorded at the front.
Thus, in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk Axes, there were 12 clashes. The enemy launched 15 air strikes, dropped a total of 38 guided aerial bombs and carried out 259 artillery attacks, including 11 from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhansk Axis, there were 9 clashes in the Vovchansk area and in the direction of Novovasylivka.
In the Kupyansk Axis, 7 attacks by the occupiers were recorded in the areas of Myrne, Kupyansk, Holubivka and in the direction of Nova Kruhlyakivka during the day.
In the Lyman Axis, the enemy attacked 24 times in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Zarichne, Kolodyazi, Torske, Dibrova, Serebrianka, Yampolivka, as well as in the direction of Shandryholove and Yampol.
In the North-Slobozhansk Axis, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces near Hryhorivka and Fedorivka twice.
In the Kramatorsk Axis, 4 clashes took place in the area of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk Axis, the enemy carried out 10 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, Stepanivka, Rusyn Yar and Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsk Axis, the Defense Forces stopped 45 attacks of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Zvirove, Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Poltavka, Boikivka, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Chervonyi Lyman, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, Zelenyi Kut, as well as in the direction of Kozatske, Dorozhne and Novopavlivka.
In the Novopavlivsk Axis, the Defense Forces repelled 26 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Filiya, Zelene Pole, Tolstoi, Temyrivka, Maliivka, Novopil, Voskresenka, Olhivske and in the direction of Sichneve.
In the Huliaipole Axis, the Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy assault near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv Axis, 4 attacks of the invader in the Kamyanske area and towards Novoandriivka were repelled.
In the Prydniprovsk Axis, 8 enemy attacks were repelled.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 3 command posts, one artillery system, five areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as one other important enemy facility.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders on August 8 amounted to 940 people.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 7, 147 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest Axes were Pokrovsk (42 clashes) and Lyman (25).
