The expenses of the aggressor country russia continue to grow, while revenues do not have time to compensate for the difference. The head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak announced this on his Telegram channel on Friday, August 8.
Yermak emphasized that the russian budget is a bubble, since in July alone its deficit amounted to a "colossal" USD 13 billion. The russian budget deficit for January-July reached USD 54 billion, which exceeded annual expectations. At the same time, the aggressor's annual revenues grew by only 2.8%, and expenditures increased by 20.8%.
"You can pretend to be Sauron as much as you like, but when the economy is collapsing due to the war, you are just a sinful Gollum hiding your leaky pocket from the eyes of the whole world," Yermak emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 5, the shutdown of two of the largest oil refineries due to a UAV attack led to gasoline prices in russia breaking a historic record.
Also, almost a third of the russian coal mining industry has stopped work or is on the verge of stopping.
As a reminder, on July 24, Reuters reported, citing its own sources, that the russian authorities are preparing to ban gasoline exports.
