FSB agent guided russian drones during large-scale attack on Kropyvnytskyi. He was detained

A russian agent was detained in the Kirovohrad Region, who was preparing coordinates for an air attack by the aggressor country on the regional center on July 28. Then, as a result of enemy hits, the buildings of the regional philharmonic society, the local university and residential buildings in the central part of the city were damaged. This is stated in the message of the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to law enforcement officers, the aggressor's air strike was one of the largest since the beginning of the full-scale war. The enemy used kamikaze drones of the Shahed type, which were directed at civilian infrastructure facilities in Kropyvnytskyi at the direction of the FSB agent.

The attacker turned out to be a 47-year-old local unemployed man who came to the attention of the occupiers due to his pro-kremlin comments on Telegram channels.

After recruitment, he received an assignment from an FSB supervisor to collect specific geolocations for a russian drone strike on the city.

After a hostile attack on the regional center, the attacker "reported" to a russian intelligence officer about its consequences for adjusting repeated and preparing new attacks.

At the same time, the agent monitored the directions of the Defense Forces' cargo trains moving through the region for the occupiers.

SSU cyber experts detained the attacker "red-handed" when he was setting up a "video trap" near a railway facility.

At the scene, a phone with evidence of his contacts with the FSB was seized from him.

SSU investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The attacker is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, an FSB agent was detained in Kyiv who was setting up "video traps" to correct strikes and spy on Ukrzaliznytsia.
