There is no other choice but to continue mobilization measures — Syrskyi

The aggressor country russia is constantly increasing the size of its group, despite high losses. For this reason, mobilization must continue in Ukraine.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi stated this on Tuesday, August 5.

According to him, in July of this year, the russian occupation army lost more than 33,200 people killed and wounded.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that this is 800 people more than in June of this year.

Despite this, russia continues to increase the size of its army. The occupiers plan to form ten new divisions by the end of the year. Two of them have already been formed.

"Therefore, there is no other choice but to continue mobilization measures, improve combat training, and strengthen the unmanned component of our troops," Syrskyi stated.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal admitted that during the mobilization, thousands of men were forcibly sent to the army.

At the same time, on July 30, Shmyhal emphasized that 90% of men who received summonses voluntarily and knowingly go to territorial recruitment and social support centers.

As a reminder, in late July, former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said in an interview with russian journalist Yuri Dud that Ukrainians should have the right not to do military service.
