On August 5, 143 combat clashes took place on the front, the enemy attacked most of all on the Pokrovsk (52 clashes) and Lyman (23) axes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 2 missile and 107 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used two missiles and 147 guided bombs.
In addition, the enemy carried out 5,731 attacks, 64 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,224 kamikaze drones for destruction.

Thus, on the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 russian attacks.
The enemy launched 18 air strikes here, dropped a total of 35 guided aerial bombs and carried out 353 artillery attacks, including 16 from MLRS.
On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, five clashes took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Fyholivka.
Seven attacks by the invaders were recorded on the Kupiansk axis.
The defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions on the areas of the settlements of Radkivka, Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Zahryzove and in the direction of Novoplatonivka.
On the Lyman axis, the russians attacked 23 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Olhivka, Novyi Mir, Hlushchenkove, Torske, Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Kolodiazi and towards Cherneshchyna, Serednie, Shandryholove.
On the Siversk axis, the aggressor attacked three times near Hryhorivka and towards Siversk.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy carried out eight attacks on the areas of Toretsk, Diliivka and Shcherbynivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 52 attacks by the aggressor on the areas of the settlements of Pokrovsk, Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Boikivka, Suvorove, Kotlyne, Novoekonomichne, Muravka, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Dachne, Promin, Molodetske, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoukrainka, Oleksiivka and in the direction of Novopavlivka.
On the Novopavlivka axis, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Piddubne, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Zelenyi Hai, Zelene Pole, Novodarivka and in the direction of Ivanivka, Novoivanivka.
On the Huliaipole axis, the enemy carried out an unsuccessful attack in the area of Temyrivka.
On the Orikhiv axis, the aggressor twice attacked the positions of the Ukrainian defenders in the area of Stepove and Plavni.
On the Dnieper axis, the russians once unsuccessfully tried to approach the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, suffering losses.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit two artillery pieces, eight areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and four enemy command posts.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders amounted to 1,010 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 4, 151 combat clashes took place on the front, the hottest axes were Pokrovsk (45 clashes) and Lyman (28).
