A Member of Parliament and servicemen of the National Guard were exposed in bribery.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated this in his post on Telegram.
The Head of State informed that he had listened to the report of the Director of NABU Semen Kryvonos and the Head of SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko.
"One of the parliamentarians of Ukraine, as well as heads of district and city administrations, and servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine were exposed in bribery. I am grateful to the anti-corruption bodies for their work," the President informed.
Zelenskyy emphasized that there can only be zero tolerance for corruption, clear teamwork to expose corruption, and ultimately a fair sentence.
"It is important that anti-corruption institutions work independently, and the law adopted on Thursday guarantees them all the opportunities to really fight corruption," the Head of State summed up.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, after the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on restoring the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Zelenskyy signed the document on the same day.
