US President Donald Trump said that the nuclear submarines, which he ordered to be relocated due to threats from dmitry medvedev, are already closer to russia.
Trump said this in an interview with the American TV channel Newsmax.
Trump said that Medvedev has a "sharp tongue" and that he should not have said such things. In response to the question of whether the submarines had approached russia, the head of the White House answered in the affirmative.
"They're closer to Russia. Yeah, they're closer to Russia," Trump replied.
He also confirmed that if a peace agreement in the war with Ukraine is not concluded, the United States will impose sanctions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 1, Trump announced on the Truth Social network that he had ordered the relocation of two nuclear submarines in case medvedev's provocative statements turned out to be more than just words.
