Of 53 russian UAVs, Ukrainian air defense units managed to neutralize 45 targets – Air Forces report

On the night of August 2, the Air Defense Forces shot down and suppressed 45 of the 53 enemy air attack means, including 8 high-speed jet drones and 37 Shaheds and simulator drones.

It was reported on the page of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the enemy attacked 53 air attack means from the directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk - the russian federation, and Hvardiiske – from the temporarily occupied Crimea.

"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the report says.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense systems shot down/suppressed 45 air targets: 8 jet drones and 37 enemy Shahed type UAVs and simulator drones.

Unfortunately, 8 UAVs hit in 5 locations, and debris fell in 2 locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Defense Forces soldiers reduced the number of the russian occupation army by 1,010 invaders over the past day. Russia's total combat losses in manpower amounted to 1,055,210 invaders. Enemy equipment and weapons were also eliminated.
