On the night of July 31, russian troops launched a missile strike on Kyiv after a long drone attack. The strike hit residential areas of the capital.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported: "Consequences in the Shevchenkivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi Districts. Residential buildings."
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko added: "Medical calls have been recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi Districts, the teams have left. In the Shevchenkivskyi District, the shock wave broke out the windows in the children's ward of the medical facility. There are no injuries."

Consequences of the strike:
- Sviatoshynskyi District: a residential building damaged, emergency services are working.
- Solomianskyi District: a high-rise building hit, a fire broke out.
- Holosiivskyi District: a house and a car caught fire.
- Shevchenkivskyi District: windows in an apartment building were broken, cars burned.

The second air raid alert was issued at 4:29 a.m., when the Air Forces reported the movement of missiles towards the capital. Loud explosions were heard in the city.

Before the missile attack, Kyiv was attacked by drones from various directions for several hours. The Solomianskyi District was the most affected, where fires were recorded and there were injuries.
