Dynamo defeats Hamrun and continues its path in Champions League

Dynamo Kyiv confidently secured a passage to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, defeating the Maltese Hamrun Spartans for the second time in a row. In the "home" match, the Kyiv team won with a score of 3:0. The total score after two matches is 6:0 in favor of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The game in Lublin, Poland, was under the full control of the Ukrainian club from the first minutes. Already in the 28th minute, the Ukrainians took advantage of a blunder by the opponent's defense - Vanat intercepted an unsuccessful pass back and opened the scoring. Seven minutes later, a good combination ended with the second goal: Voloshyn and Shaparenko organized the moment, and Brazhko closed the cross into an empty net.

In the second half, Shovkovskyi gave playing time to the young players, but Dynamo did not stop - in the 82nd minute, Mykhavko put an end to the game with a shot from an acute angle after a corner kick. The guests did not have any serious chance to fight back, except for a few inaccurate flank passes.

In the next round, the Kyiv team will play the winner of the Pafos - Maccabi Tel Aviv match. Hamrun, on the other hand, will continue its European campaign in the Europa League, where it will meet the loser of the same match.
