The European Union called on China to refuse any material support to the aggressor country russia, which allows moscow to launch a full-scale war against Ukraine.
This is stated in a press release published following the EU-China summit.
It says that during the event, representatives of the European Union and China discussed russia's war against Ukraine.
The EU stressed that this war poses a threat not only to the existence of Ukraine, but also to global security.
The European Union reminded China that it, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, is responsible for maintaining world order.
"The EU repeated its calls on China not to provide any material support which sustains Russia's military-industrial base. The EU encouraged China to use its influence to support a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, based on the principles of the UN Charter," the press release says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early July this year it became known that Chinese components were discovered in the Shahed strike UAVs, with which the russian army attacks Ukrainian cities.
And at the end of June, The Economist published an article stating that China has become the main supplier for the russian military-industrial complex.
