From July 24, Tax and Customs Service will limit inspections of enterprises – Svyrydenko

From July 24, the State Tax Service and the State Customs Service will limit inspections for low-risk enterprises. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In particular, she reported that on July 23, the government approved a plan to implement the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on a moratorium on groundless inspections and interference in the work of businesses.

"From July 24, the Tax and Customs Service will limit inspections for low-risk enterprises. The exception is high-risk industries, such as the circulation of excisable goods, where control is necessary," she said.

Svyrydenko noted that within a month, the State Regulatory Service and ministries will submit proposals for deregulation and reducing unnecessary permits.

By October 21, law enforcement agencies must coordinate actions to identify assets under sanctions and ensure their return to the budget - for defense and reconstruction needs.

The plans include launching a digital control system and quarterly review of the effectiveness of decisions.

The government will also prepare amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, according to which only the Prosecutor General or regional leaders will be able to open new proceedings against businesses.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy implemented the NSDC decision on a moratorium on groundless inspections and interference by state bodies in business activities.
