Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko dreams of representing Ukraine in the international special tribunal on the crimes of the russian federation against Ukraine.
He said this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I would dream of representing the interests of Ukraine in the Special Tribunal," Kravchenko said. At the same time, he hopes that when this happens he will still be the Prosecutor General.
Kravchenko added that all evidence of the crimes of the russian federation will be transferred to the international court and the Prosecutor General's Office is working on this every day.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement between Ukraine and the Council of Europe on the establishment of the Special Tribunal on the crime of russian aggression against Ukraine.
On June 25 in Strasbourg (France), President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy called it an important achievement that the statute of the Special Tribunal clearly states: the head of state, the head of government, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be responsible for crimes; they will not escape punishment even after they no longer hold their positions.
