Ukrainians increase their real estate tax payments by 18% to UAH 5.6 billion in 6 months

During January-June 2025, real estate owners paid almost UAH 5.6 billion in tax on real estate other than land plots.

This is stated in a message of the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Compared to the corresponding period last year, the payment increased by 18.4%, or almost UAH 0.9 billion.

In the first half of 2024, local budgets received UAH 4.7 billion of this tax.

The largest amounts of tax were received by:

Kyiv – UAH 1.1 billion,

Dnipropetrovsk Region – UAH 571.9 million,

Kyiv Region – UAH 571.2 million,

Odesa Region – UAH 543.7 million.

In 2025, the tax is paid for the reporting year 2024.

It is paid by individuals - owners of:

- apartments with an area of over 60 sq. meters;

- houses with an area of over 120 sq. meters;

- other various types of housing, including their shares, over 180 sq. meters.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to the State Tax Service, the number of millionaires who declared income for 2024 increased by over 60%, or by 6,600 people, to 17,000.
