Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) stated that they did not receive access to information on all covert and operational measures, as well as special operations conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SACPO).
The Security Service of Ukraine has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
On July 21, the Security Service of Ukraine began a comprehensive inspection of compliance with the legislation on state secrets in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The Service noted that they acted exclusively within the limits and in the manner provided for by the legislation, in particular Article 37 of the Law "On State Secrets".
"We officially inform you: employees of the Security Service of Ukraine did not receive access to information on all covert and operational measures, as well as special operations conducted by the NACB and the SACPO. The SSU inspection does not involve familiarization with the content of such documents in general," the SSU emphasized.
The special service called the statements about the possible disclosure by SSU representatives of information about secret investigative actions conducted by the NACB and the SACPO groundless and manipulative.
Separately, the SSU drew attention to the fact that conducting urgent investigative actions without a court order is not a violation of the law - in cases where obtaining such orders may cause a leak of information and, in particular, harm the conduct of special operations within the framework of investigations into cooperation with the aggressor country.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the SACPO stated that the SSU came to the prosecutor's office with an inspection and received access to data on all special operations of the NACB and the SACPO.
