The head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, has formulated a new philosophy of war: the russian army can and must be defeated.
The former deputy head of the Defense Intelligence, Major General Illia Pavlenko has stated this in an interview with blogger Serhii Ivanov.
This approach, he emphasized, is transmitted through the actions of the Defense Intelligence, which affect not only the course of events on the battlefield, but also the international perception of Ukraine's strength.
According to Pavlenko, with its work, military intelligence levels the russian narrative about the invincibility of their army and proves by its own example that Ukraine is capable of winning the war.
"The head of the Defense Intelligence clearly says that the Russian army is not invincible. It is possible and necessary to defeat it. And the Defense Intelligence is already making the philosophy of this war and showing the whole world that Ukraine is capable of this, and it is doing it with its actions," the general noted.
According to Pavlenko, a significant transformation of the Defense Intelligence began in 2015. It was during this period that Kyrylo Budanov was formed as the future head of the Defense Intelligence.
