The army of the aggressor state of russia has destroyed the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Region by 95% with constant shelling. There is no water supply in the settlement, as the enemy damaged the water main - heavy specialized equipment cannot reach it due to russian drones.
This was reported by the head of the Kupyansk City Military Administration, Andrii Besedin, on the air of a telethon.
"In fact, 95% of the city of Kupyansk has been destroyed or damaged. We are holding everything. There is power supply where it is possible. There is gas supply. Unfortunately, the water main was damaged by a guided air bomb. And today, restoration requires the involvement of heavy specialized equipment, it is impossible to do this," he reported.
Besedin explained that they are currently waiting for "safer times" so that it can be restored and the water supply can be normalized.
"Today, the city of Kupyansk is without water, but again, restoration work, not only water supply, electricity supply, gas supply, cannot be carried out now, because FPV drones on fiber optics are actually lurking on the roadsides and roofs of houses. Any car that appears on the road immediately becomes a target of the enemy," said the head of the City Military Administration.
Meanwhile, over the past day, 5 local residents have been injured to varying degrees of severity as a result of shelling. The enemy dropped, in particular, 11 guided aerial bombs on the territory of the community.
The Regional Military Administration emphasized the need to evacuate. Besedin emphasized that since the beginning of July, the enemy has carried out more than 2,100 shellings with various types of weapons.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, local authorities previously said that it is dangerous to move around the streets of the city in Kupyansk at any time of the day due to the increase in FPV drone strikes on civilians.
