In June, monetary base down 0.3% to record-breaking UAH 1.1 trillion

In June, the monetary base, which includes cash in circulation outside banks, as well as bank reserve money and other money, according to the National Bank's operational data, decreased by 0.3% to UAH 1,098.857 billion.

This is evidenced by data from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has grown by 4.4% from UAH 1,052.113 billion.

The money supply in June increased by 1.7% to UAH 3,601.603 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 3.2% from UAH 3,488.377 billion.

The volume of cash in circulation, according to the NBU's operational data, increased by 1.6% in June to UAH 805.416 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 6% from UAH 759.753 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, the monetary base grew by 7.7% from UAH 976.940 billion.

In 2023, the monetary base grew by 23.3% from UAH 792.537 billion.

In 2022, the monetary base grew by 19.6% from UAH 662.499 billion.

In 2021, the monetary base grew by 11.2% from UAH 595.993 billion to UAH 662.499 billion.

The money supply in 2021 increased by 12% from UAH 1,850.014 billion to UAH 2,072.399 billion.
