Ukraine to receive record arms shipments in coming days - Senator Graham

Republican Senator from South Carolina Lindsey Graham predicts that in the coming days Ukraine will receive record amounts of weapons to protect against russian aggression.

Graham said this on the CBS program Face the Nation, AR reports.

"I expect that in the coming days you will see a record flow of weapons to help Ukraine defend itself... One of putin's biggest miscalculations was that he decided to outsmart Trump. Look, in the coming days and weeks there will be a huge effort to force Putin to sit down at the negotiating table," he said.

According to the senator, the war is approaching a critical moment, as Donald Trump is showing increasing interest in supporting Ukraine in its fight against russia.

Also during the broadcast, Graham, along with Democrat Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, noted that an agreement is forming on Capitol Hill and among European leaders to use frozen russian assets worth about USD 300 billion, blocked by the Group of Seven countries at the beginning of a full-scale war, to help Ukraine. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's public discontent with russian dictator vladimir putin, there are strong chances that a bipartisan bill on "hellish" sanctions against russia will be quickly passed in Congress.
