Defense Intelligence claims that russia has about 300 ballistic Iskanders and DPRK missiles

As of July 2025, russia has about three hundred Iskander-M ballistic missiles and their North Korean counterparts KN-23.

The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported this in response to an official request from Liga.net.

Thus, it is reported that according to Defense Intelligence estimates, russia has about 300 ballistic missiles, including more than 250 Iskander-M and about 50 KN-23. It is noted that according to military intelligence, as of mid-May, the occupiers had about 580 of these ballistic missiles.

The Defense Intelligence emphasizes that at this time the occupiers have deployed more than 60 launchers of operational-tactical complexes capable of launching the above-mentioned missiles near the Ukrainian border.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia has modernized its ballistic missiles, which it uses to attack Ukraine. This has made it more difficult for Patriot systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles.

Earlier, the head of the Defense Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov reported that North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles have become much more accurate at hitting their targets thanks to the joint work of North Korean and russian specialists.
