The Defense Forces of Ukraine are restraining the offensive of the russian occupiers and are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. At this time, 120 clashes have occurred.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Today, the communities of the settlements of Vysoke, Mykhailivske, Novovasylivka, Sosnivka in the Sumy Region; Kliusy, Baranivka in the Chernihiv Region were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire. The settlement of Boyaro-Lezhachi, located in the Sumy Region, was hit by airstrikes.
Eleven clashes occurred on the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes. The enemy carried out six air strikes, dropping ten guided bombs, and carried out 141 shellings, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out seven offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Zelene and Chuhunivka.
On the Kupyansk axis, the invading army has carried out six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hai – towards the settlement of Novoosynove.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy has attacked the positions of our defenders seventeen times in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Novyi Myr, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Dibrova and towards the settlements of Serebrianka and Dronivka. Seven clashes are ongoing.
On the Siversk axis, the enemy conducted two offensive actions in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka and Vyimka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled four assault actions of the russian invaders. The enemy tried to break through in the area of the settlements of Klishchiivka and Bila Hora.
On the Toretsk axis, our defenders repelled six attacks of the invaders near the settlements of Dyliivka, Toretsk and in the direction of the settlements of Rusyn Yar, Stepanivka and Yablunivka. One battle is currently underway.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the russian invaders made 36 attempts to push our soldiers from the occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Razine, Myrne, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Horikhove, in the directions of the settlements of Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Filiia and Oleksiivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have already repelled 30 enemy attacks.
On the Novopavlivka axis, the enemy tried to break through the defenses of our defenders eight times in the areas of the settlements of Dachne, Filiia, Myrne, Shevchenko, Temyrivka, Zelene Pole and towards the settlement of Novopavlivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
On the Huliaipole axis, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of the settlement of Charivne.
On the Orikhiv axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy assault actions in the area of Kamyanske. The settlements of Novoandriivka and Plavni were subjected to air strikes with guided bombs.
On the Dnieper axis, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders five times, but was unsuccessful.
