About 10% of the servicemen of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the russian aggressor country do not receive financial support or do not receive it in full. This is evidenced by the documents of the russian Ministry of Defense on the results of the inspection of the district in March-April 2025, obtained and analyzed by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Thus, according to the reports of the russian Ministry of Defense, more than 2,500 servicemen of the Southern District did not receive financial support at all due to the lack of documents on their enlistment in service, another about 3,000 - due to the "lack of bank details". At the same time, more than 20,000 people did not receive the payments due to them in full due to the lack of relevant orders. Payments to the families of more than 2,500 deceased servicemen, as well as more than 2,000 people dismissed from the ranks of the russian Armed Forces, have also not been issued.
The intelligence officers emphasized that the report only concerns one of the five military districts of the russian federation - the Southern District. On the scale of all the Armed Forces of the aggressor state, the problems may be even deeper.
"Such a systematic nature may indicate a conscious policy of the aggressor state to rob its own military, whom the Kremlin uses as cannon fodder. This is yet another confirmation that in the russian army, people are just expendable material," said Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
An analysis of the information obtained indicates a significant deterioration in the situation with the payment of cash support in the russian army throughout 2025, the intelligence officers said in a statement.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, the Kremlin is organizing the involvement of a combined detachment of engineering troops of the Lao People's Army in demining the territories of the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.
