President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning a large-scale rotation of Ukrainian diplomats - up to 20 decrees on the dismissal and appointment of new Ambassadors are expected in the near future, in particular in the G7 and G20 countries.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced this on Ukrainian Radio.
"I will confirm to you that the vision of the President of Ukraine is to carry out a rotation in all countries of both the G7 and G20. That is, first of all, to strengthen these countries, including the US track. Therefore, this is really on the agenda now," Sybiha noted.
He added that we should expect about 20 decrees from the President of Ukraine, which will dismiss and appoint new Ambassadors of Ukraine.
Among the possible solutions are the replacement of Oksana Markarova as Ambassador to the US and the return of individual figures to Ukraine, including Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who still officially remains the Ambassador to the UK.
According to Minister Sybiha, the replacement of Zaluzhnyi and other Ambassadors should strengthen Ukraine's positions in the host countries.
We will remind you that according to the survey conducted by the SOCIS research center, if presidential election was held in the near future, Ukrainian citizens would mostly vote for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
