President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the petition on the decriminalization of the production of adult content, which received more than 25,000 votes, which is necessary for official consideration.
The head of state's response was published on the website of the Office of the President.
In his response, the head of state recalled that this issue falls within the competence of the Verkhovna Rada. Currently, the bill No. 12191 has already been registered in the parliament, which proposes to abolish criminal liability for the creation and distribution of pornography among adults, but at the same time provides for stricter punishments for crimes related to children.
Zelenskyy reported that the proposals set out in the petition were transferred to the MPs for consideration during the development of the bill.
Recall, the model from the OnlyFans platform Svitlana Dvornikova registered a petition on the website of the President of Ukraine with a demand to decriminalize the production of pornography. The model, despite paying over UAH 40 million in taxes, claimed that she was illegally implicated in a criminal case due to her work on OnlyFans and the police's hints of bribery. She called on the President to support bill No. 12191, which decriminalizes erotic content, arguing for this by the lack of victims and the corrupt nature of the current law.
