Russian oil exports fall to lowest level in 6M

Russian oil supplies have fallen to their lowest level since February, according to Economic Pravda, citing Bloomberg.

The report said that russian oil shipments fell to their lowest level since February as refining volumes grow faster than production, which reduces exports.

The average volume of seaborne crude cargoes was 3.12 million barrels per day in the four weeks to July 6, down 3% from the period to June 29, according to tanker tracking data compiled by Bloomberg.

Production rose by about 60,000 barrels per day, one-third of the total output increase set for OPEC+ countries.

At the same time, refining volumes rose by 140,000 barrels per day.

The increase in production allowed to russia under OPEC+ is limited by deeper cuts.

Under current plans, the size of these cuts will increase through September, likely further limiting the amount of additional oil available for export.

The drop in russian exports highlights the gap between the large increase in production by the OPEC+ group and the much smaller additional volumes that actually enter the international market, the publication says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May 2025, russia's export revenues from hydrocarbon sales abroad fell to their lowest level since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
