The Swiss energy equipment manufacturing company PFIFFNER-Group has handed over to the Government of Ukraine a certificate worth CHF 100,000 for the purchase of equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian energy system.
This was discussed during an online meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and the Chairman of the Board of the Swiss industrial group PFIFFNER-Group Fritz Hunziker and CEO Marcel Rüfenacht, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report states that the Swiss manufacturer is considering the possibility of building a new plant in Ukraine.
Svyrydenko thanked the management of PFIFFNER-Group for the humanitarian technical assistance previously provided to the energy sector of Ukraine.
The parties also discussed the prospects for further cooperation, in particular the possibility of opening a production unit of this Swiss company in Ukraine.
During the conversation, Marcel Rüfenacht also confirmed that the PFIFFNER-Group company had terminated any relations with the russian federation and expressed its readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in the event of armed aggression by moscow.
PFIFFNER-Group is a Swiss family-owned industrial group with more than a century of history. The company specializes in the production of power equipment for high-voltage power transmission lines. The group employs about 900-1,000 employees at 8 production sites.
In the spring of 2023, PFIFFNER-Group has already transferred assistance to Ukraine in the form of power equipment – six current transformers worth more than CHF 300,000.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in mid-June, the Ministry of Energy assured that the situation in the energy system of Ukraine remains balanced and no power outages are expected this summer.
