Ukrzaliznytsia warns of delays in trains from Europe and West due to stormy weather conditions

Due to stormy weather conditions in Transcarpathia, as well as in Slovakia and Hungary, Ukrzaliznytsia warns of a number of changes in passenger train schedules. It was reported by the company's press service on Telegram.

Thus, Hungarian and Slovak railways are delaying trains No. 143/750 from Vienna and Budapest, as well as No. 617/964 from Bratislava.

"It is expected that passengers from Debrecen and Košice will be delivered to the border by reserve buses, and Ukrzaliznytsia train No. 28 will pick them up in Chop. The time of the delay and, accordingly, the departure of the Ukrainian flight will be determined taking into account the arrival time of the buses and in coordination between the dispatchers of the three countries, operational changes are possible depending on the development of the situation, primarily in Hungary," the message says.

It is also reported that the bad weather caused damage to a contact network, which will affect the punctuality of trains No. 9 Kyiv - Budapest, No. 82 Chop - Kyiv, No. 14 Solotvyno - Kyiv, No. 38 Mukachevo - Odesa and No. 749 Kyiv - Chop with direct cars to Vienna.

The carrier company apologizes and emphasizes that despite everything, it does not stop the movement.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, for the summer period, Ukrzaliznytsia added trailer cars to the popular trains on the Kyiv-Lviv-Kyiv route.

This summer, Ukrzaliznytsia is introducing 18 additional pairs of trains to ensure comfortable travel during the season of increased demand.

Ukrzaliznytsia has also scheduled additional trains between Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Truskavets in the summer period.
