In June, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 115 missions using DeepStrike means (long-range strike drones). The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, Syrskyi reported on the summary of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June. According to him, during this time, the russian aggressor tried to unbalance the Ukrainian defense, increased the intensity and number of strikes, and sought to extend the line of combat contact.
The task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was to stabilize the situation and deter the enemy in threatening directions – primarily in North-Slobozhanshchyna, Dobropillia, Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka, where the enemy concentrates its main efforts, has created the largest concentration of troops and significantly surpasses it in forces and means.
Syrskyi noted that the enemy is consistently increasing the number of personnel involved in the aggressive war against Ukraine, increasing the production of missiles and drones, so Ukraine is forced to resort to symmetrical and asymmetrical moves, to look for new tactical and technological solutions to counter the occupiers.
He said that Ukrainian soldiers are restraining the enemy's offensive attempts, accurately destroying russian personnel and equipment, inflicting effective damage on the aggressor's military and logistical targets deep in the territory of the russian federation, and consistently weakening its production potential.
"Thus, during June, the defenders of Ukraine carried out 115 fire missions in the DeepStrike direction. Our artillery hit 2,864 enemy targets," he said.
According to him, the russians increased the number of air-based weapons - missiles and drones - launched over the territory of Ukraine by 1.6 times in a month. At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit about 4,000 targets.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Syrskyi informed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces hit 62 targets on russian territory with DeepStrike weapons in April, and in May, DeepStrike weapons struck 58 targets on russian territory.a
