Flooding in US state of Texas: dozens of killed and missing, including children - media

At least 24 people have been killed in flooding in the US state of Texas, caused by heavy rains and the overflowing of the Guadalupe River.

This was reported by the ABC News channel, citing local authorities.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said that rescuers were continuing search and rescue operations several hours after the flood on the Guadalupe River flooded nearby areas.

Among the killed are children, and about 23 vacationers from a summer camp in the area, Camp Mystic, are missing, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said.
