In the Rostov Oblast of the russian federation, authorities have introduced permanent restrictions on the Internet and are explaining to local residents that this is to protect against Ukrainian drones. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) in Telegram.
It is reported that local authorities in the Rostov Oblast explain that slowing down the Internet on a permanent basis will help protect against "Ukrainian drones" and that "safety is a priority over inconvenience."
"Restrictions or even complete shutdowns of mobile Internet have been regularly carried out by the russian authorities in many regions of the russian federation in recent months. And the number and duration of outages is constantly growing," the CCD says.
The CCD also informs that in fact these processes are part of the Kremlin's systematic campaign to strengthen state control over the information space.
"Thus, the russian authorities are trying to limit the population's access to sources of information that are not controlled by russian propagandists in order to increase the effectiveness of "brainwashing" and minimize the ability of russians to protest," the report says.
Recall that on July 1, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of a military-industrial complex facility - the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, located in the Udmurt Republic of the russian federation.
The Kupol plant specializes in the production of short-range anti-aircraft missile systems. Accurate hits were confirmed in building No. 1 at site No. 1, and a fire was recorded.
