Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group entered Dachne in Dnipropetrovsk Region, took photo with tricolor and was destroyed – General Staff

Videos are circulating on the Internet, in which the russians allegedly occupy the dugouts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the village of Dachne, Dnipropetrovsk Region and hang their flags. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that recently an enemy reconnaissance group was indeed able to break through to the settlement, took a photo with the tricolor and was destroyed by Ukrainian soldiers. Another similar attempt by the russians ended in captivity.

"A few days ago, one of the enemy's small reconnaissance groups was able to penetrate the settlement of Dachne, which is in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Region. The invaders managed to take a photo with the Russian tricolor, but this was their last activity: Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the occupiers," the department said.

And in one of the following assaults, according to the General Staff, two russian servicemen were more fortunate: they survived and were taken prisoner by the Marine Corps Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy, replenishing the exchange fund.

The military emphasized that the statements of russian propaganda about the seizure of a bridgehead in the Dnipropetrovsk Region do not correspond to reality. The village of Dachne continues to remain under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to restrain the onslaught of the Russian occupiers, who do not abandon attempts to cross the administrative border of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. The enemy is not successful in achieving this demonstration goal, no matter how many "meat assaults" it carries out with the forces of small infantry groups and sabotage and reconnaissance groups," the General Staff noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 1, 171 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy attacking most frequently on the Pokrovsk (49 clashes) and Novopavlivka (28) axes.
