President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) against suppliers of components for russian Shahed drones.
The head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The President has imposed sanctions against suppliers of components for Shaheds. The restrictions apply to 87 entities, including 52 russian citizens and 35 companies (34 from the russian federation and 1 from China)," he said.
According to Yermak, the sanctions affected enterprises and individuals that cooperate with a russian plant in the city of Yelabuga, supplying components, equipment and materials for the production of kamikaze drones, as well as equipment for the russian military-industrial complex.
Zelenskyy also enacted on June 27 the NSDC decision on synchronizing the sanctions pressure of Ukraine, the European Union, and other members of the Group of Seven on the russian federation and its related entities, instructing to ensure the full implementation of restrictive measures (sanctions) approved by international partners in Ukraine's jurisdiction.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, Zelenskyy enacted the NSDC decision on sanctions against persons involved in the abduction of Ukrainian children.
