Banks have closed the accounts of 606,000 Ukrainians since the beginning of the year.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a Member of Parliament from the Holos faction, announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Together with the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank and the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine, we held a meeting of the temporary special commission on the problem of drops (financial mules)," he wrote.
The MP added that in 2025 alone, banks closed accounts under the State Financial
Monitoring Service article:
- 606,000 individuals
- 30,000 individual entrepreneurs.
"Of course, not all 100% of drops are here, but somewhere around 90-95% of them. By the way, the history of the transition to individual entrepreneurs schemes is also very actively observed now," the MP concluded.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from June 1, 2025, new restrictions on card money transfers came into force in Ukraine.
For medium and low-risk clients, the monthly limit has been reduced from UAH 150,00 to UAH 100,000 per month.
High-risk clients will be able to transfer up to UAH 50,000 per month, the limit does not change.
