In the first five months of 2025, Ukrainians paid UAH 4.9 billion in real estate tax, which is 17% more than in the same period last year.
This is stated in a message from the Tax Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The largest amount of tax came from:
- Kyiv - almost UAH 990 million;
- Kyiv Region - UAH 497 million;
- Dnipropetrovsk Region - UAH 496 million;
- Odess Region - UAH 464 million.
The specified tax is paid by individuals who own:
- apartments with an area of over 60 sq. m;
- houses with an area of over 120 sq. m;
- or various types of housing (including shares), if the total area exceeds 180 sq. m.
In 2025, Ukrainians will pay taxes for 2024.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the State Tax Service, the number of millionaires who declared income for 2024 increased by more than 60%, or by 6,600 people, to 17,000.
