The Antimonopoly Committee has fined Kyivvodokanal PJSC for UAH 10 million.
This is indicated in the AMCU's statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The AMCU Board adopted a decision recognizing Kyivvodokanal's actions, which consist in developing and applying the Rules for accepting subscribers' wastewater into the sewerage system of Kyiv, as a violation of the legislation on the protection of economic competition.
For the specified violation, the company was fined UAH 10,095,500 and was obliged to stop the violation and eliminate its consequences within two months from the date of receipt of the decision.
By another decision, the AMCU recognized the actions of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) as a violation of competition legislation, stipulated by Article 17 and Clause 7 of Article 50 of the Law "On the Protection of Economic Competition" in the form of legitimizing the violation by Kyivvodokanal PJSC, which consists in approving the order of 10/12/2011 No. 1879 of the Rules for accepting wastewater from subscribers into the sewerage system of the city of Kyiv.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early June Kyivvodokanal announced searches at the company.
The National Police said at the time that this concerned embezzlement of the city budget.
