As a result of russian attacks on Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomyanskyi and Holosiyivskyi districts of the capital have suffered the most. The least shelling, according to analysts of the Texty.org.ua project, was recorded in Troyeshchyna.
Kyiv experienced the most extensive destruction in March 2022 - it was then that heavy fighting continued in the suburbs, and not only missiles, but also artillery and rocket systems hit the city. The second most intense shelling was in May 2023, when the capital was attacked almost daily by Kalibr, Kinzhal, Iskander and other types of missiles.

According to analysts, missiles most often hit areas with large industrial facilities. In particular, the Artem and Kyiv Automation Plants are located in the Shevchenkivskyi district, the Antonov concern enterprises are located in the Sviatoshynskyi district, and the Meridian and Bilshovyk factories, as well as the Zhuliany airport, which has repeatedly become a target for the enemy, are located in the Solomyanskyi district.

Starting in October 2022, the number of attacks by Shahed-type kamikaze drones has increased, striking not only industrial zones, but also office buildings and residential areas. In June 2025, russian troops use combined attack tactics - first launching drones in waves from different directions to overload Ukrainian air defense, and then striking with missiles.
During the last massive attack on June 17, about 50 buildings were damaged in Kyiv. Analysts emphasize that such strikes are designed to cause maximum human casualties, and are deliberate acts of terror under the guise of strikes on "industrial targets."
