Belarusian oppositionist Siarhei Tikhanovsky, 46, has been released from prison. He has already left the territory of Belarus.
This was reported by the Nasha Niva portal and Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya on the social network X.
According to the publication, this was made possible thanks to the visit to Minsk of US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg.

"My husband Siarhei is free! It is difficult to describe the joy in my heart," she said.
She thanked US President Donald Trump, US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, American lawyer John Cole, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Christopher W. Smith, the US Department of State and allies from the European Union.
In 2019, Siarhei Tsikhanouskiy created the channel "Country for Life", he traveled to the regions, recorded interviews with local residents who spoke frankly about problems, criticized the authorities and officials.
In 2020, Tsikhanouskiy announced his intention to run for president. But before the start of the election campaign, he was detained. The documents were submitted by his wife, the current leader of the Belarusian opposition, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
In 2021, Tsikhanouskiy was sentenced to 18 years in a maximum security colony on four political articles, in particular for organizing mass riots and inciting enmity. Later, the term was extended by another year and a half due to alleged disobedience to the colony administration. Tsikhanouskiy pleaded not guilty and refused to cooperate with the investigation.
For more than two years, there was no information about Tsikhanouskiy, he was in complete isolation. His wife Sviatlana, son Korniy, and daughter Agniya were waiting for him when he was released.
