Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's talks with the heads of the foreign ministries of Great Britain, France, Germany and the European Union's foreign policy service ended in Geneva.
The parties did not report any progress at the meeting, but expressed their readiness to continue diplomatic dialogue. This is reported by Reuters.
As noted by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, the Iranian side has shown interest in continuing the talks. Barrot added that he is counting on Tehran's readiness for open discussions "with all parties, including the United States", in order to try to achieve a peaceful resolution to the crisis. His British counterpart David Lammy also called on Iran to resume dialogue with Washington, noting that European ministers made it clear to Araghchi: "Iran cannot have nuclear weapons".
The Iranian minister, in turn, confirmed his country's readiness to participate in the talks in the same format. According to AFP, Araghchi also said that Tehran is ready to return to the diplomatic process "as soon as the aggression stops."
