As a result of the russian attack on Odesa on June 20, two cultural heritage sites were damaged - a residential complex built in 1912-1913 according to the design of architect Ya.M. Ponomarenko, as well as a former brewery on Frantsuzkyi Boulevard.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
Thus, a monument of architecture and urban planning of local importance - a residential complex on 4, Seminarska Street - was significantly damaged. This is a building built in 1912-1913 according to the design of architect Ya.M. Ponomarenko.

In addition, a historical building from the beginning of the 20th century - a former brewery on Frantsuzkyi Boulevard - was damaged. In particular, the blast wave broke out the windows and doors of the facility.
"Russian strikes continue to destroy the historical memory of Ukrainian cities, their cultural identity and architectural heritage. We are recording all facts of crimes against cultural heritage," the department emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 20, russian occupiers carried out a massive drone attack on the city of Odesa. As a result of the attack on civilian infrastructure, houses were damaged, one of them was destroyed, an educational institution and shops. A woman was killed, 14 people were injured.
