Netanyahu and IDF chief meet with Trump administration officials - media

Today, June 20, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and other Israeli officials met with Trump administration officials.

This was reported to The Jerusalem Post by two sources familiar with the meeting.

The meeting was attended, in particular, by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, and from the US side - Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

It is noted that the meeting took place against the backdrop of US hesitations about whether to join Israel in strikes on Iran.

Recall that the US President will make a decision on possible actions in Iran within two weeks. Also, when asked whether Trump is avoiding direct conflict with Iran, Leavitt replied that the President is interested in a diplomatic solution, but "is not afraid to use force."

Meanwhile, fires broke out in the Israeli city of Beersheba after the military said it had intercepted an Iranian missile. The fires occurred in the south of the city, near the location of a Microsoft office.
