Russia plans to continue drone swarm attacks, military solutions being prepared - CCD

The aggressor state of russia plans to continue drone swarm attacks on Ukraine and will conduct information campaigns both for the international audience regarding peace efforts and for the Ukrainian audience, demanding surrender. Ukraine is preparing military solutions, as well as information countermeasures.

This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andrii Kovalenko.

Thus, he emphasized that russia plans to continue terrorizing Ukrainian cities with drone swarm attacks and will simultaneously pump out two information campaigns:

  • the narrative will be spread to the international audience that it is russia that is open to negotiations and is forced to fight, "because Ukraine supposedly wants to",
  • the theses will be spread segmentally to the domestic Ukrainian audience that "Ukraine is supposedly unable to defend itself and russia is capable of destroying everything", demanding surrender from society.

"This pressure will have to be withstood, military solutions against the enemy's swarm attacks are being prepared. Information countermeasures are also being prepared. But you need to know the enemy's tactics in order to understand the goals. Russia wants to continue the war and they think they can break Ukrainian society itself and achieve the surrender of the rear. They will not succeed," Kovalenko said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) stated that the combined missile and drone attack by the russian armed forces on the night of June 17 is probably the deadliest attack on Kyiv in almost a year.
