Russian propaganda has spread fake information about Ukraine and the UK preparing for a "bloody provocation" in the Baltic Sea. The Center for Countering Disinformation reported this on Telegram.
It is reported that the russian federation has spread a message about a provocation allegedly from the russian foreign intelligence service. The russians claim that the Ukrainians and the British are going to stage a torpedo attack on an American ship in order to blame moscow for this. It is also reported that no evidence of the reality of such plans has been provided in the russian federation.
"This information has nothing to do with reality. Spreading unsubstantiated false accusations of preparing terrorist attacks and sabotage against Ukraine is a typical tactic of the Russian foreign intelligence service. The purpose of such allegations is to discredit Ukraine and try to drive a wedge between our state and its allies," the message says.
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) reminds that, meanwhile, it is russia that is behind a series of sabotage in the EU and NATO countries in order to disrupt military assistance to Ukraine from its allies.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council called the information spread by russian propaganda about the alleged "Ukrainian shelling" of one of the facilities on the territory of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP fake.
Earlier, the russians spread a fake on the Internet about alleged instructions for photographers on "how to photograph Volodymyr Zelenskyy" during negotiations with russia in Istanbul.
