Invaders attack Ukraine with strike drones, Kinzhals and cruise missiles: 428 targets neutralized

On the night of June 17, russia carried out one of the most massive attacks on the territory of Ukraine, using 472 air attack vehicles. The main target was again Kyiv.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

According to preliminary data, the air defense forces destroyed 428 enemy targets:

• 262 - with fire weapons,
• 166 - suppressed by electronic warfare means or lost in location.

In particular, the following were destroyed:

• 239 Shahed attack UAVs and other drones,
• 2 Kinzhal missiles (1 lost in location),
• 15 Kh-101 cruise missiles,
• 8 Kh-59/69 guided missiles (1 lost in location),
• 1 Kh-31P missile (lost in location).

In total, the occupiers used:

• 440 attack drones (over 280 – Shahed),
• 2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles,
• 16 Kh-101 cruise missiles,
• 4 Kalibr missiles,
• 9 Kh-59/69 guided missiles,
• 1 Kh-31P anti-radar missile.

The launches were carried out from the territories of the Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Tambov, Saratov Oblasts of the russian federation, as well as from the waters of the Black Sea.

The attack was repelled by all air defense components – aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare units and unmanned aerial systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Enemy weapons hit 10 locations, and fragments of downed targets fell in 34 locations.

Recall that on the night of June 17, russian troops attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones. According to preliminary data, at least 14 people were killed, 55 were injured, and more than 40 of them were hospitalized.

The most serious destruction was recorded in the Solomianskyi District, where a ballistic missile hit a multi-story building and passed through all nine floors. In total, the attack affected at least 12 locations in six districts of the capital. In two of them, Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi, relief headquarters for the victims are already operating.
