Helicopters and unmanned systems involved in liquidation of consequences of missile strike on Kyiv

Large-scale work is underway in Kyiv to overcome the consequences of the night attack by russian troops, during which strikes were carried out with drones and missiles. A large number of equipment, including aviation, has been involved in extinguishing fires and search and rescue operations.

The Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this, while at the scene of the destruction in the Solomianskyi District of the capital.

“Two helicopters of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have been involved in liquidation of the consequences of the attacks. They are working on extinguishing the fires,” the Minister noted. According to him, extensive technical support has been deployed on the ground — from medical vehicles to special rescue vehicles.

Klymenko also reported that additional units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the region are arriving in Kyiv to strengthen efforts in the damaged areas.

Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andrii Danyk added: “Aviation and robotic systems are actively involved in liquidation of the consequences — the State Emergency Service of Ukraine drones are already working around the city.”

Recall that on the night of June 17, russian troops attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones. According to preliminary data, at least 14 people were killed, 55 were injured, and more than 40 of them were hospitalized.

The most serious destruction was recorded in the Solomianskyi District, where a ballistic missile hit a multi-story building and passed through all nine floors. In total, the attack affected at least 12 locations in six districts of the capital. In two of them, Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi, relief headquarters for the victims are already operating.
