Amid the attack by the aggressor state of russia on the energy infrastructure in Kremenchuk on June 15, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Moscow plans to attack Ukraine's energy system while the world's attention is focused on the Middle East.
He wrote about this on the social network X.
Thus, Sybiha emphasized that yesterday's "barbaric attack" by the russian federation on the energy infrastructure of Kremenchuk is part of the russian campaign to bomb Ukrainian civilian energy infrastructure.
"Moscow intends to attack Ukraine's energy system while the world's attention is focused on the Middle East. This is especially cynical, given putin's constant attempts to imitate a constructive attitude towards US peace efforts. In fact, he demonstrates complete contempt for them, intensifying terror against Ukraine," the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
He added that the strategy of Ukraine's partners should be to deal a powerful blow to russia's energy sector with devastating sanctions.
"A cap on the price of oil at USD 30, new restrictions on the "shadow fleet" and its captains, other energy sanctions. Hitting putin where it hurts most will help, not hinder, the peace process," Sybiha emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 15, the army of the aggressor state of russia attacked the Poltava Region with drones and missiles, hitting energy and agricultural infrastructure facilities, as well as houses. In particular, Kremenchuk came under massive attack.
