On the night of Monday, June 16, russian troops launched 138 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 84 of them, another 41 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of June 16 (from 09:00 pm on June 15), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 138 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol and Shatalove (all - russia).
The main direction of the attack was the Donetsk Region.
"As of 08:00 am, air defenses neutralized 125 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) in the north, east, south and center of the country. 84 were shot down by fire weapons, 41 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the report says.
Enemy air attack vehicles were hit in 10 locations, and downed (fragments) fell in 8 locations.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 14, the russians launched 58 drones over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 23 UAVs, and another 20 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
