Iran ready to make peace with Israel if it stops its attacks

Iran is ready to stop its strikes if Israel does the same.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated this, according to the Associated Press.

According to Araghchi, Tehran does not seek to escalate the conflict in the region and considers its actions self-defense. At the same time, he warned that further strikes by Israel could lead to the involvement of other Persian Gulf countries and a broader international crisis.

Araghchi called on the United States to condemn Israel's actions and confirmed Iran's readiness to conclude an agreement on the absence of intentions to acquire nuclear weapons. At the same time, Tehran insists on preserving its right to the peaceful development of nuclear energy.

The minister also accused the United States of facilitating the Israeli strikes, which, according to him, were aimed at disrupting the negotiation process. Iran and the United States were negotiating through the mediation of Oman. The next round of negotiations scheduled for today was canceled.

Araghchi noted that during the previous meeting, the United States had presented a number of proposals that were not fully acceptable to Tehran. Iran, in turn, submitted its own response and counterproposal, which, according to the diplomat, could become the basis for a comprehensive agreement.

US President Donald Trump denied Washington's involvement in the attacks on Iranian facilities, but called on Iran to conclude an agreement on its nuclear program. The United States insists on Iran's complete refusal to enrich uranium.

Recall that US President Donald Trump stressed that the United States was not involved in Israel's attack on Iran, and stressed the consequences if Iran attacks the United States in any way.

Over the past 48 hours, Israel has been asking the administration of US President Donald Trump to join the war with Iran to eliminate its nuclear program.

Recall that on the night of June 13, the Israeli army carried out strikes on Iran.
