Many Ukrainians, including children, were injured in a bus accident in France. Four adults are currently known to have been killed, three of them are citizens of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Friday, June 13.
Zelenskyy noted that the children on the bus were returning from an educational exchange at a French lyceum in Brittany. According to him, on the way to Paris, the vehicle lost control and slid into a ditch.
"Four adults are currently known to have been killed, three of them are citizens of Ukraine. Two more people are in serious condition, French medics are fighting for their lives. The remaining children have moderate and light injuries, all of them are receiving the necessary assistance," the President of Ukraine said.
Ukrainian diplomats and consuls, led by the Ambassador of Ukraine to France, have been sent to the scene of the incident, who are in contact with the relatives of the victims and with representatives of French authorities and services, Zelenskyy said.
