General Staff denies media reports about russians entering Dnipropetrovsk Region

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied the information of the American publication The New York Times, which wrote the day before about the alleged penetration of the russian occupation army into the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The spokesman for the General Staff, Dmytro Lykhovii, said this in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

According to him, the situation in the area of the administrative border of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions has not undergone significant changes.

As of Friday, June 13, heavy fighting continues on this section of the front. The occupiers are trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian military in small assault groups.

Lykhovii emphasized that the situation near the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region is dynamic, and therefore may change.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the day before, The New York Times wrote that russian troops have allegedly entered the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

In its material, the publication refers to an unnamed serviceman of the 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and data from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The publication writes that the russians probably want to capture Novopavlivka and move north towards the settlement of Mezhova. This will supposedly allow them to semi-encircle Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region.

Recall that on June 11, it became known that the Ukrainian military eliminated a group of occupiers who were ordered to make another propaganda picture about allegedly reaching the border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

We also wrote that on June 6, the DeepState project stated that russian troops are 2,020 meters from the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
