The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recommends Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to 6 countries due to the aggravation of the security situation in the Middle East, in particular to Israel, Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria. This is stated in the MFA’s message on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
“Due to the aggravation of the security situation in the Middle East, the MFA recommends refraining from traveling to the State of Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Iraq, the Republic of Lebanon and the Syrian Arab Republic until the situation stabilizes,” the message says.
All citizens of Ukraine who are in the countries of the region are recommended to remain vigilant, closely monitor the messages of the local competent authorities of the host countries, strictly observe security measures, and always carry identification documents with them.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainians who find themselves in an emergency situation or whose life or health is at risk immediately contact the nearest foreign diplomatic mission of Ukraine or the 24-hour hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: +38-044-238-15-88, e-mail address [email protected].
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Friday, June 13, Israel attacked Iran, striking key nuclear and military facilities, missile bases and senior leadership. In response, Iran launched more than 100 drones at Israel.
Regarding the aggravation of the security situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine notes that the continuation of hostilities may have negative consequences for international security and global financial stability, especially in oil markets.
